PADI Assistant Instructor Course

PADI Assistant Instructor program is the first portion of the whole PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). Not only provides a valuable preparation for PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor training, it also expands skills that enhance an Assistant Instructor’s professional capacity. During the program, you’ll gain additional experience while continuing to learn the PADI System of Diver Education. PADI’s Assistant Instructor program adds to your abilities as a dive professional, while giving you the necessary tools to complete the entire PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) in the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.

PADI Assistant Instructor’s responsibility includes giving knowledge development and confined water presentations and evaluates PADI Open Water Diver course surface skills (under direct supervision of a PADI Instructor). AIs are also able to attend PADI Specialty Instructor Programs, conduct some PADI Specialty courses, PADI Discover Scuba experiences and can conduct PADI Seal Team Aquamissions.

Successfully completing this course qualifies you to continue to the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) programs.
